Rooflight Systems

Rooflight systems play a key role in modern roofing and cladding design, improving natural daylight levels, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and enhancing working conditions inside industrial, commercial and agricultural buildings.

At Leoclad Supplies, we offer a full range of rooflight solutions designed to integrate seamlessly with metal sheeting, composite panels and built-up systems. Every rooflight is sourced for strength, clarity and consistency of performance, balancing impact resistance, UV stability and weather protection to ensure long service life in demanding environments.

Rooflights are available in GRP, polycarbonate and factory-assembled insulating rooflight (FAIR) formats, covering every major application from single skin roof runs to insulated composite systems. Stock lengths are held for the most common roofing and cladding profiles to provide quick lead times and straightforward replacements.

GRP Rooflights

GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) rooflights remain the industry standard for roofing and cladding applications, offering a strong balance of durability, light transmission and cost efficiency. Manufactured from resin-reinforced glass fibres, GRP sheets provide evenly diffused natural light that helps eliminate glare while maintaining brightness throughout the building. They are resistant to corrosion, making them ideal for use in environments with high humidity, chemical exposure or ammonia-rich atmospheres such as agricultural buildings.

Leoclad GRP rooflights are produced in a range of profiles to match current roofing and cladding systems, including options for single skin, twin skin and built-up assemblies. They are lightweight, easy to handle on site and designed for secure mechanical fixing. Fire-rated grades and anti-condensation variants are also available for projects requiring enhanced specification or controlled internal environments.

Polycarbonate Rooflights

Polycarbonate rooflights provide high light transmission and exceptional impact resistance, making them suitable for high-specification industrial and commercial buildings. Available in both profiled and multiwall formats, polycarbonate options offer superior clarity, UV protection and long-term performance against yellowing or weather degradation.

The material’s natural strength and flexibility allow it to withstand impact from debris or hail without cracking, while its insulation properties help reduce heat transfer compared to older translucent sheeting. Polycarbonate rooflights are available in clear, opal and diffused finishes, enabling controlled daylighting and aesthetic consistency across the roof design.

These rooflights are compatible with all common roofing and cladding profiles, and can be supplied as single sheets or as part of twin-skin systems. With a high degree of dimensional accuracy and stability, polycarbonate rooflights deliver consistent fit and finish on every project.

Factory-Assembled Insulating Rooflights (FAIRs)

For composite panel systems, Leoclad Supplies offer factory-assembled insulating rooflights (FAIRs) designed to match insulated panels in both profile and performance. FAIR units incorporate an insulated core between two GRP skins, providing thermal continuity with the surrounding composite roof while maintaining excellent light transmission.

Each FAIR is precision manufactured to ensure compatibility with standard composite panel thicknesses and profiles. The result is a complete, sealed rooflight unit that delivers consistent insulation values, weather resistance and load-bearing capability in line with the panel system it complements. This makes them ideal for projects where aesthetics, energy efficiency and installation speed are key requirements.

Spacer Bar Systems

Spacer bar systems form the structural link between the outer and inner sheets in built-up roof and wall assemblies, creating the void for insulation and ensuring consistent alignment across the build.

Designed for speed, accuracy and stability, they provide a dependable foundation for industrial and commercial roofing and cladding installations.

Manufactured from high-strength galvanised steel, spacer bars deliver excellent load-bearing capacity while maintaining dimensional accuracy over large spans. The system creates a secure platform for the external profiled sheet, allowing insulation to be laid continuously without compression and reducing thermal bridging through the build-up. Precision-punched slots ensure easy alignment and consistent spacing, while a simple assembly process helps minimise installation time on site.

Leoclad Supplies offer spacer bar systems in a range of bar and bracket sizes to suit different build-ups and insulation depths. All systems are compatible with common roofing and cladding profiles and can be supplied complete with matching fasteners and accessories.
